Endodontic Working Length Measurement Using Cone-beam Computed Tomographic Images Obtained at Different Voxel Sizes and Field of Views, Periapical Radiography, and Apex Locator: A Comparative Ex Vivo Study
文摘
The most accurate measurements were found for an electronic apex locator with an average of −0.098-mm variation from the standard direct measurement. There was no significant difference among cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) measurements obtained at 4 different voxel sizes. Accuracy increased with smaller voxel sizes without statistically significant differences (P > .05). Intraoral periapical radiography showed a statistically significant difference from the direct measurements and all other imaging techniques with a mean variation of 1.64 mm (P < .05). All CBCT images obtained at different field of views with voxel sizes less than 0.3 mm3 performed similarly and better than intraoral periapical radiography in the determination of endodontic working length measurement.
