UV/vis spectrum shows redshifted Soret and Q bands of the [Zn(TTP)(NCS)]− species. The IR, 1H NMR and MALDI-TOF data confirm the coordination of NCS− ligand to ZnII. The porphyrin ring of (I) presents major ruffling and saddling deformations. The crystal structure of (I) is stabilized by C__H⋯S and C__H⋯π hydrogen bonds.
