Nanoporous TiO2 was synthesized by a hydrothermal method without using of surfactant.

Nanoporous TiO2 shows good gas response, selectivity and response/recovery for acetone.

The good sensing properties attribute to the high specific surface area of nanoporous TiO2.

Nanoporous TiO2 could be expected for development of an excellent acetone gas sensor.
