An efficient biomaterial was proposed for real wastewater treatment. High decolorization yields were recorded in batch and continuous modes. The biosorption capacity in wastewater reached up to 288.08 mg g−1. Dye uptake mechanism from real wastewater was evaluated in detail. Biomaterial exhibited excellent regeneration potential over 10 consecutive cycles.
