Incorporate the smart completion technique into the optimization of water-alternating-gas injection process. Propose an optimization strategy where we simultaneously optimize well operating conditions and settings of ICV which maximize the life-cycle NPV. Apply the ensemble-based optimization method to the optimization of WAG injection. Investigate the effect of the perturbation size, initial guesses and reservoir lifetime on the ensemble-based optimization results.
