Mechanical properties of open-cell rhombic dodecahedron titanium alloy lattice structure manufactured using electron beam melting under dynamic loading
Dynamic behavior of Ti-6Al-4 V lattice structure fabricated by electron beam melting is studied. Specimens with smaller cells seem to be more sensitive to strain rate. Deformation mode of specimens keeps unchanged with a strain rate of 10−3∼103/s. FE model considering the surface quality of struts is built. The critical velocities are predicted by R-PLH model.
