PP-g-CaSiO3@SiO2 was synthesized and used to absorb DBP in aqueous solution.

Large surface area and Sisingle bondOH on PP-g-CaSiO3@SiO2 improved the adsorption of DBP.

Six-caned hydrogen bond was formed between Sisingle bondOH of PP-g-CaSiO3@SiO2 and DBP hydrolysate.

A low temperature and low pH is beneficial for the adsorption of DBP.

PP-g-CaSiO3@SiO2 costs low, can be easily prepared without any pollutants, and reused.
