All Korean H7 viruses are clustered into Eurasian-lineage H7 viruses with 12 genotypes. All H7 viruses contained at least one gene segment from HPAI H5N1-like avian viruses. The H7 viruses could be separated into at least two antigenic groups by HI assay. Most of the H7 virus could replicate in the lungs of mice and chicken without prior adaptation.
