Highest total mercury concentration of seawater was observed at Zhuhai Estuary. Hg concentrations of sediment in Guishan Island were higher than Daya Bay. Fish consumption would impose no or less risk to adults but high risk to children. Shellfish consumption did not exert any health risk for both adults and children.
