Coherent
carbon
cryogel-ammonia borane (C-AB) nano
composites were synthesized, and improved H
2storage properties are reported. Porous
carbon
cryogels were impregnated with AB in tetrahydrofuran solutionat 25

carbon
cryogel pore volume was filled to produ
ce a 24 wt % C-ABnano
composite. Nitrogen sorption isotherms, X-ray diffra
ction, differential s
canning
calorimetry, differentialthermal/thermal gravimetri
c analyses, mass spe
ctrometry, and
11B NMR were used to
chara
cterize the
coherentC-AB nano
composites. Findings in
clude a merged two-step hydrogen release rea
ction with an appre
ciableredu
ction in the dehydrogenation temperature to <90
