Bis(imino)pyridine iron complexes bearing ether and thioetherbackbone substituents have been synthesized and evaluated forthe polymerization of ethylene. The methoxy derivative is inactivewhereas bulky phenoxides or thioether derivatives afford activitiesas high as the most active systems reported to date.
