We describe the crystallization and crystal structure of a novel compound with antralinic acid[Cr2(bipy)2(H2O)2(s/entities/mgr.gif">-H2O)2(s/entities/mgr.gif">,s/gifchars/lambda.gif" BORDER=0 >-O2C)-C6H4-2-NH2]·(NO3)3·H2O 1, and analyze its crystal packing and crystal supramolecularity in the context of the influence of the counterions. Different arrays (1D and 2D) build up from hard hydrogenbonds are discussed, and we describe the assembly of them to obtain a 3D arrangement. Intra- and intermolecularC-H···X hydrogen bonding occurs but is not a major influence.
