1:2-thienyl;1:1(N))hexacarbonyldiiron complex, 2, (2) a hexacarbonyldiironcomplex with an organic ligand,which is composed of two thienyl moieties derived from the originalthienyl imine and coupledtogether by a C-C bond, 3, and (3) a hydrogenation productof the original thienyl Schiffbase. Molecular structures of compounds 2b and3a have been determined by single-crystalX-ray diffraction.
