fer bands traversethe visible and near-IR regions o
f the electronic absorption spectrum. The compounds show reversible metal-based oxidations and quasireversible ligand-based reductions. The molecular structure o

f a single crystal X-ray di
ffraction study. These compounds provide insight into the expectedproperties o
f related dimetalated polythiophenes incorporating MM quadruple bonds.
