The reaction of [Ru2(CO)3(PBun3)(G SRC="/images/entities/mgr.gif">-H)(
ges/entities/mgr.gif">-PBut2)(ges/entities/mgr.gif">-dppm)] (1a) with tert-butylphosphaethyneleads under hydrodimetalation to the novel phosphaethenyl complex [Ru2(CO)4(ges/entities/mgr.gif">-PBut2)(ges/entities/mgr.gif">-dppm){ges/entities/mgr.gif">-PC(H)But}] (2), which has been characterized by spectroscopic methods as well asby X-ray diffraction. Compound 2 represents the first structurally characterized complexwith a phosphaalkenyl ligand of the type ges/entities/mgr.gif">-PC(H)R bridging two metal centers.
