was foundbet
ween the
1H
and 13CNMR chemical shifts of the cyclopentadienyl ring in these complexes
andthe Le
wis acidityof the attached boryl group. The crystal structure of thephenylboron-bridged bimetalliccomplexPhB{(
5-C
5H
4)TiCl
3}
2was determined. The cyclopentadienyltitanium units ofthemolecule are t
wisted a
way from each other, forming an angle of 41
bet
ween thecyclopentadienyl ring planes. Each cyclopentadienyl ring ist
wisted out of the trigonal planeof the boron by 24
. Preliminary results concerning theTi-alkylation of some of thesecomplexes are described.
