mpounds have been characterized by
means ofele
mental analysis, ther
mogravi
metry, infrared and electron para
magnetic resonance spectroscopies, and
magneticsusceptibility
measure
ments, and their structures have been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Bothco
mpounds are isostructural, and they contain a discrete bi
molecular hybrid polyanion and several types of copper-phenanthroline co
mplexes of variable nuclearity. The
main structural features of these co
mpounds are the presenceof the new hybrid POM [{SiW
11O
39Cu(H
2O)}
2{Cu
2(phen)
2(

10-, where the dinuclear copper-oxalato co
mplexis sandwiched by two copper-
monosubstituted POMs, and the coexistence of five different copper-phenanthrolinespecies with nuclearities ranging fro
