The physical and chemical properties of the commercial aluminumsulfate melt that do not existin the literature were measured in this study. The aluminumcontent of commercial aluminumsulfate hydrate varies between 16 and 17%Al₂O₃. The viscosity of this product is inthe range160-260 cP, density is in the range 1.705-1.735 g/cm³,and the surface tension is predicted tobe 105 dyn/cm. These properties change sharply with temperatureand concentration.
