-functionalized materials. In this paper, coupling reactions have been employed to produce13 MPCs bearing multiple copies of a diverse variety of structuralgroups. Detailed features of three of the13 polyfunctionalized products are highlighted: (
a)stepwise coupling and deprotection reactions result in anMPC surrounded by ca. eight pendant tripeptides, (
b) apreliminary Steady-State Electron ParamagneticResonance (SSEPR) experiment is described for MPCs bearing multiplespin labels (ca. 13/cluster), and (
c) apolyelectron electrochemical reaction is described for an MPC bearingmultiple (ca. 7/cluster) coupledphenothiazine derivatives. The coupling reactions substantiallyexpand the available diversity of MPCs aspolyfunctionalized chemical reagents platformed on a nanometer-sizedcentral core.
