Deductive Prediction of Precision in Measurement, Calibration, and Standard Addition Method in Atomic Absorption Spectrometry for Cadmium

The relative standard deviation of measurements inatomic absorption spectrometry for cadmium determination is predicted by the signal fluctuation model, whichis made up of the white noise and Markov process. Thestandard deviation (SD), , of the white noise andSD,, and autocorrelation parameter, , of theMarkovprocess are determined from the power spectrum of theactual signal fluctuation in the system and in turn areputto use for the uncertainty prediction of measurements inthe time space. The confidence intervals of theconventional calibration and standard addition method arecalculated from the predicted SD of measurements.
