Covalent porphyrinic cages (CPCs) have been a target of interest for years. In this paper, we report the design and synthesis of two CPCs in which the cofacial porphyrins have a distance of 7.66 and 11.96 脜 via template-directed imine condensation reactions and through the selective choice of templating linker and diamine length.
