The iteroselective 鈥渁ll-but-one鈥?carbamatation methodology has been successfully extended to homooxacalixarenes and used for the selective and controlled synthesis of homooxacalixarene鈥搈onoquinones and calixarene鈥搈onoquinones. These moquinone derivatives constitute interesting molecular platforms that, until now, were inaccessible through any efficient means.
