The photoinduced decarbonylation of a ruthenium(II) carbonyloctaethylporphyrin (RuOEP(CO)(Py)) complex has been shown tooccur upon nanosecond pulse laser irradiation as a visible lightexcitation source, which is reasonably interpreted by a stepwisetwo-photon absorption process.
