Combining the Kagan method for synthesis of chiral2-substituted ferrocenecarbaldehydeswith our recent method for synthesis of 1'-substitutedformylferrocenes, we found easy accessto various practically enantiomerically pure ferrocenecarbaldehydessubstituted in the 2-and 1'-positions. Furthermore, we have described a general methodof synthesis of chiralferrocenophanes. The X-ray crystal structures for three of themwere determined.
