Tetra-cationic pyrene derivative (Py4+) and tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II) (Ru2+) were hybridized onto the surface of a synthesized clay. We observed the remarkable stimulation of excited Py4+ emission quenching on the clay surface, with a very large apparent quenching rate constant (kq = 7.4 卤 0.7 脳 1015 L mol鈥? s鈥?).
