Tetra-cationic pyrene derivative (Py⁴⁺) and tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II) (Ru²⁺) were hybridized onto the surface of a synthesized clay. We observed the remarkable stimulation of excited Py⁴⁺ emission quenching on the clay surface, with a very large apparent quenching rate constant (k_q = 7.4 卤 0.7 脳 10¹⁵ L mol^鈥? s^鈥?).
