Mono-, bis-, and tris(tricarbonylchromium)complexes of triptycene were synthesized by the reactionof triptycene with Cr(CO)₆. The stereochemistryof thetwo isomeric bimetallic complexes ofC_s andC_2v symmetries was determined from the NMR spectra. X-raystructures of the bimetallic (C_s) andtrimetallic complexesare presented.
