ce at the protein level for
confident protein identifi
cation. The C-HPP also aims to identify new protein forms that may be
caused by geneti
c variability, post-translational modifi
cations, and alternative spli
cing. Proteogenomi
c data integration forms the basis of the C-HPP鈥檚 a
ctivities; therefore, we have summarized some of the key approa
ches and their roles in the proje
ct. We present new analyti

chnologies that improve the

cal spa
ce and lower dete
ction limits
coupled to bioinformati
cs tools and some publi
cly available resour
ces that
can be used to improve data analysis or support the development of analyti
