It is found from theoretical calculations thatAr*PbPbAr* (Ar* = C6H3-2,6-(C6H2-2,4,6-iPr3)2) has a multiply bonded structure in solution, although a singly bondedstructure with a highly trans-bent core skeleton has beenreported from the X-ray crystal study.
