In this work, densities, , refractive indices, nD, speeds of sound, u, and dynamic viscosities, , of the ternarymixtures ethanol + water with 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C8mim][Cl]) and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfate (EMISE) have been measured at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Excess molar volumes,, refractive index deviations, nD, isentropic compressibilities, S, molar isentropic compressibilities, KS,m,isentropic compressibility deviations, S, excess molar isentropic compressibilities, , viscosity deviations,, and excess free energies of activation of viscous flow, G*E, have been calculated from experimental dataand fitted to Cibulka and Singh et al. equations. The excess properties have been used to test several predictionmodels.
