文摘
Piquerol A (Ia), an allelopathic terpene from Piqueriatrinervia (Asteraceae) was chemicallytransformed into its diacetate (Ib), benzylic alcohol(II), dialkyl hydroquinone derivative (IIIaandIIIb), and phenolics (IVa and V).The structures of these derivatives were determined byspectralanalysis. Piquerol derivatives were found to act as powerfulradicle growth inhibitors of the weedAmarantus hypochondriacus. Order of inhibition wasIb > IIIa > Ia > IVa> II. The first threecompounds were also radicle growth inhibitors of the weedEchinocloa crusgalli. Keywords: Piquerol A; Piqueria trinervia;2-methyl-3-isopropenylhydroquinone; 2-methyl-3-isopropenylphenol; 3-methyl-2-isopropenyl derivatives; weed radiclegrowth inhibition
