We have prepared immobilized olefins as models for thecross metathesis using different olefin partners in thepresence of second generation Grubbs
and Hoveyda-Grubbsprecatalysts. We have demonstrated that solid-phase crossmetathesis is strongly dependent on the degree of homodimerization of the non-immobilized olefin
and the reactivityof such a homodimer. As in the homogeneous phase, theHoveyda-Grubbs precatalyst was better for immobilized
