To improve the conductivity of recently reported single-ioniclithium orthoaluminatecomplex polymer electrolytes, the structure of the complex unit waschanged from [Al(OR)₄]^-to [Al(SR)₄]^-, carrying a larger anionradius. The ionic conductivity of such thioaluminatepolymer complexes was about 10^-5 Scm^-1at room temperature, which was about10² timeshigher than that of previously reported aluminate complexes. Thesingle-ionic nature ofthioaluminate polymer complexes was confirmed by transportnumber.
