Domino metathesis involving ROM-RCM of appropriately constructed norbornene derivatives having multiple alkene chains leads to directaccess of highly functionalized bridged tricyclic compounds while that of a compound having two norbornene units tethered through onecarbon produces a linearly arrayed condensed tricyclic system.
