The synthesis of a new series of -type, D--A regioregularoligothiophenes is described. The simultaneous presence ofthe chiral centers and the -type structure disfavored theformation of centro-symmetrical dimeric assemblies. Hence,enhanced first hyperpolarizabilities _HRS were measured incomparison with those of the corresponding monomers.
