2O] and has been shown by single crystal structure analysis to bea three-dimensional network with hexagonal and rhombohedral channels encapsulating C
4O
42- and water molecules,constructed by the one-dimensional "sinusoidal" [Mn(bpe)(H
2O)
4]
n2+ cationic chains through extensive hydrogen-bondingand

interactions.
