The utility of arenesulfenamides as aminyl radical precursors hasbeen clearly demonstrated. The cyclizationof N-butyl-4-pentenylaminyl is shown to be a slow andirreversible process that is accelerated significantly bysmallamounts of bis(tributyltin) oxide.
