The visible-light induced trifluoromethylation of N-arylcinnamamides with Togni鈥檚 reagent has been explored. This method allows for an efficient and practical synthesis of a variety of CF₃-containing dihydroquinolin-2(1H)-ones and 1-azasporo[4.5]decanes bearing various functional groups under mild conditions.
