The multi-walled and bamboo-like well-crystalline CN_x nanotubeswith controllable nitrogen concentration (x = 0.05-1.02) weresynthesized. The stoichiometry of as-prepared CN_x (x 1.02) isclose to that of the theoretically predicted graphite-like CN.
