A retrievability and successive degradation photocatalytic nanoreactor MS@FCN was first developed, which contained a magnetic photocatalytic core and mesoporous shell. The photocatalytic nanoreactor showed strong adsorption capacity, high activity, and good stability in degrading tetracycline. The nanoreactor can efficiently strengthen the binding abilities fixed to the tetracycline molecule and make the visible reflected in the confinement space for further enhancement of the absorption efficiency, which was confirmed by adsorption experiments and UV–vis DRS. Moreover, the mesoporous shell can protect the magnetic photocatalytic core inside for facilitating recycling and making the photocatalytic reaction cycle be carried out in and out of the microenvironment of the nanoreactor, which also was proved by cycling test and HPLC-MS. Therefore, this kind of ideal photocatalytic nanoreactor may offer a new opportunity to develop functional photocatalysts for complicated catalytic processes.
