The oxidation state for platinum complexesof TPPTS can be controlled through variation of the pHof an aqueous solution. Thus Pt(H)(TPPTS)3+ dissolvedin H2O gives a well-characterized Pt(II)-H complex atneutral or acidic pH but exists as Pt(TPPTS)3 at pHs/entities/ge.gif">12.
