The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis with nitrogen-containing syngas derived from combined air partial oxidationand CO2 reforming of methane has been performed in a fixed-bed reactor. The effects of key factors includingreaction temperature, pressure, and nitrogen content of the syngas on the performance of CoPtZrO2/Al2O3catalyst were mainly investigated. The results indicate that the syngas containing a high content of nitrogen issuitable for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and that a high initial catalytic activity can be achieved under typicaloperating conditions. The decreasing of catalytic activity with time on stream before reaching steady state wasobserved, which is mainly due to the blockage of catalyst pores by heavy hydrocarbons.
