In the field of the optical computing, all optical logical functionality possesses the central importance. The descriptive paper puts some interesting phenomena associated with micro-ring resonator (MRR) switching activity. The different types of logic functionality can be implemented using the MRR structures. There are some considerable advantages, e.g. compact size, immunity to electro-magnetic interference, low attenuation, higher bandwidth and safe computing. The paper includes the detailed mathematical description about the all optical 4 bit binary to gray code converter. The proposed scheme is verified using the MATLAB simulation result.
