Background Concerning the chief complaint of acute dyspnoea, point-of-care ultrasound can be directly performed by emergency physicians. Thus, ultrasound has the potential of becoming a valuable tool to correctly diagnose patients with acute dyspnoea in the preclinical and clinical situation.
