Diversity of cross-striated coloration of river perch Perca fluviatilis dwelling in polytypic water bodies of Baikal region that differ by area of the water area and degree of isolation from river systems is considered. In the course of the study, it was found that the smaller size of the water body and the higher degree of its isolation, the smaller diversity of types of pigmental spots, but higher the total level of body pigmentation and complexity of the drawing of individuals inhabiting it.
