AimThe population ageing raises the question of the further morbidity development. Morbidity compression, morbidity expansion, and dynamic equilibrium describe possible morbidity trends. So far, little research has been conducted on type 2 diabetes in this context. We examined which one of these concepts matches the development of the disease.
