The multicomponent condensation of hydrazine with formadehyde and Hb>2 b>S at 20 °C affords 5, 11-dithia-1, 3, 7, 9-tetraazatricyclo[7.3.0.03, 7]dodecane. The structure of this compound was established by X-ray diffraction. The polymorphic transformation was studied by differential scanning calorimetry.
