Photoluminescence and photoluminescence excitation spectra of solid solution Mg<sub>1–m class="EmphasisTypeItalic ">xsub>Ni<sub>xsub>O (x = 0.008) have been analyzed. The contributions of charge transfer electronic states and nonradiative Auger relaxation to the formation of the photoluminescence spectrum are discussed.
