This retrospective case description takes a closer look at a handball Bundesliga and Iceland national team player, who underwent the Elmslie-Trillat procedure because of patella malalignment and patellofemoral cartilage lesion. The player was able to participate in competitive sport again on a regular basis 6 months after surgery.
