We have performed an inventory and ecological-coenological analysis of liverwort flora in the forest ecosystems of the Lapland State Nature Biosphere Reserve. We have recorded 98 species, which account for approximately 60% of the total number of liverwort species in the reserve. By means of the cluster analysis, we determined six groups of liverworts related to vegetation types and investigated their species composition. The lowest number of liverworts was found in pine forests on well-drained soils with low fertility (15 species); the richest flora of liverworts was in spruce and birch-spruce floodplain forests (88 species).
