AimAlthough previous studies have reported an association between resting heart rate (RHR) and cancer mortality, the association is contradictory. The relationship between RHR and disease-specific mortality has not been explored in the Chinese population. We examined this relationship in a rural adult Chinese population from a cohort study with a 6-year follow-up.
